The ETP seeks to track the performance, before fees and expenses, of the MSCI Global Digital Assets Select Top 20 Capped Index. The index is rebalanced on a quarterly basis.

The replication is in excess of 95% of the index and expected to improve.

In principle, these are usually small index components. As per the last rebalancing, Ethereum-Classic (ETC), Filecoin (FIL), Lidodao (LDO), Hedera (HBAR) and Internet Computer (ICP) were not included in the ETP basket for one or more of the reasons mentioned above.

Components that are not included in the basket are allocated proportionally to all remaining components
Holdings are subject to change at quarterly rebalancing. Weightings are subject to daily change due to movements in market capitalisation of the underlying digital assets.

Description

The MSCI Digital Assets Select Top 20 Capped Index tracks the 20 leading investable digital assets/cryptocurrencies. The index is created and calculated by MSCI, one of the world’s largest index providers.

Through its Applicable Universe methodology, the index excludes stable coins, pegged coins, privacy coins, meme coins and low volume tokens. The weight of the largest components has been capped at 30 percent at rebalancing to provide a broader market exposure. The rebalancing of the index components and their weighting is performed quarterly.

Methodology

Applicable Universe

All individual digital assets benchmarks published by Compass Financial Technologies.

Eligible Universe

Excluded from the index selection are:

  • Digital assets identified as stable coins/pegged coins/privacy coins.
  • Digital assets placed in the bottom 5% of the Applicable Universe when ranked in the descending order of volume in US Dollar at the time of rebalance.
  • Digital assets classified as meme coins.

Final Universe

  • At each Quarterly Index Review, digital assets corresponding to the Eligible Universe are ranked in descending order of their full market capitalization and the top 20 digital assets are identified.
  • If the Eligible Universe consists of fewer than 20 Crypto Reference Indexes, all constituents of the Eligible Universe are included in the Final Universe.

Index Weighting

The maximum weight of a single component is capped at 30% at rebalancing.
